Newport Beach to Dana Point: Sail date February 13

We left Newport Beach feeling rested and a bit spoiled. We also picked up a new crewmember, Daniel’s friend Toralf from Germany. (for those of you who think a trip from CA to Cabo is to far to visit us…think again) The sail to Dana point was full of first time events. First time Toralf had been on the Pacific or seen a sea lion. First time Heather saw a pod of dolphins up close and personal and the first time Daniel put up his colorful (s0me may say French looking) spinnaker on Stormy. We dropped anchor in Dana Point around 5pm. Rum shots were poured, conversation was spirited!
