Checking in from San Diego
2/14 – 2/27 Dana Point, Oceanside, San Diego:
I’ve been a bad blogger and haven’t felt much like writing as of late. Stormy has covered quite a few sea miles since the last post. We sailed from Newport Beach to Dana Point, then onto Oceanside and finally landed in San Diego. A lot has happened.
Most noteworthy we found a heart-wrenching message in a bottle from a father to his missing son (which we returned to the sea), survived a day of sea sickness, connected again with old friends, and contemplated life while bailing buckets of water from the bilge. We are thankful for this life and try to remember that daily.
We will wait out the storm in San Diego, get final provisions, hangout with friends, work on the Short Wave Radio and fix anything that needs fixin’ before leaving for Mexico.
